HELIOTROPINE
Safety grade: A**
Heliotropine is a synthetic fragrance ingredient. The EU is expected to ban it following a negative ECHA RAC opinion in September 2024 classifying it as H360FD (toxic to reproduction). While not yet officially banned, a prohibition is anticipated. Avoid products containing this ingredient if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
This ingredient adds a sweet vanilla-almond fragrance to products, masks unwanted odors, and provides light skin conditioning benefits.
